The media player remote control also controls my TV
We have found this problem on TV models manufactured by RCA and Insignia. These brands have programmed their remote control to work on the same frequency used by our included media player remote control. You have 2 solutions to this issue:
1) On the front of your TV you should see an I/R input – which looks like a small window on the front of the TV. This is what the remote must aim at in order to change the channel, etc. To avoid this problem, simply put a piece of electrical tape over this window so the media player remote does not conflict with the TV settings. Or,
2) Buy a different TV. Not a great option, for sure, but some customers have chosen this route.
